Burning down the House

Here’s an interesting observation (all politics aside)…

August 24th, 1814 – The British burn down the White House.

July 7th, 2005 – 6 blocks down the street the Union Jack flies over the U.S. State Department.

I wonder whose flag we’ll be raising in another 191 years?

The State Department raised the Union Jack in sympathy to the London bus and subway bombings.
