Cruise Control

Being a fanatical fan of HG Wells' "The War of the Worlds", I'm looking forward to seeing it tomorrow night with much fervor. With Tom Cruise's latest bizarre antics, there has been quite a bit of the ol' 80's hating on the dude. While I agree Cruise is a dick in real life, I maintain that most celebrities are assholes in real life and Tom Cruise is just one of many. However, whatever he may be in real life, the dude has been in quite a few really damn good movies.

So to set the record straight, here are the Tom Cruise movies that have ruled:

The Last Samurai
Mission Impossible I
A Few Good Men
The Firm
Far and Away
The Color of Money
Legend
Taps

Not to mention, without Tom Cruise's crusade to secure them distribution we would never have "Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels", "Snatch","The Others", or "Narc" in our lives. So the guy can't be 100% bad.
