"March or Die"

Tonight I finally got to see a movie I've been trying to find a copy of for ages. It is called "March or Die" starring Gene Hackman, Max Von Sydow and Ian Holm. This movie is so damn hard to find even on VHS, but I finally got it thru a new cheapo edition that popped up on Netflix.

I have the bad-ass poster, I read the book, but I have never seen the movie before tonight and man is it fucking good. This is an awesome movie about the French Foriegn Legion versus a crazed Arab army trying to protect an ancient tomb in the desert. It's got it all. Doomed romance, training that drives men mad, post-WWI depression, tons of tough-guy dialouge, and a bad-ass Zulu-in-the-desert battle complete with heavy machine-guns.

Ah pure 70's movie magic! If you've got Netflix, you've got to see this. Perfect Saturday afternoon adventure fun!
