Stars align. Violence Abounds.

What are the odds that 2 movies I have been waiting several years for to come out on DVD are released on the same day? I don't know but it's just super that they have been. That's right "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia" (arguably the best movie title ever) and "Electra Glide in Blue" (one of the top 10 best movie titles ever) both came out on DVD this week. I just finished watching "..Alfredo Garcia", the new DVD print is beautiful. For those who don't know this movie, it is a Sam Peckinpah masterpiece and hasn't been in print on VHS for almost 20 years. I love this movie, it is one of the best pieces of on-screen violence ever. Go buy it for only $10, that's right only $10! I have "Electra Glide in Blue" lined up for tonight. It too is a great, gritty 70's masterwork starring none other than Robert "I didn't kill me wife" Blake. This movie is chewing coffin nails tough. The anti-thesis to Easy Rider, this biker movie centers around motorcycle cops in the Southwest and deals with individualism among fascists, rampant police corruption and killing off hippies that supposedly nobody'll miss. This movie owns. And you can own this movie that owns for only $10. Ah, what a great week to own a DVD player.
