Good Sons

Good show at the Black Cat tonight. Of course I have to write a 15 page paper on Josiah Willard Gibbs Sr. tonight so I’ll have to miss it. Chalk up one more injustice attributed to the Amistad Incident.

The band is Starflyer 59 – a band from Cali with an ever evolving sound but, when you consider the spectrum they operate in, one can’t complain. From American Shoegazer to Power Pop to Dream Pop these guys have been putting out consistently good albums since their 1994 debut.

I’m actually pretty bummed that I’m going to miss this, so if anyone checks it out, please post a review in the comments section.
