Post-Colonial Depression

So I went to the GW Colonial’s final home-game last night down in Foggy Bottom. They got slammed by the St. Joe’s Hawks 71-56.

While this made for an anti-climatic end to the home season, it was a lot of fun while they were going down in flames. In fact for most of the game it almost seemed like the old Blue and Gold would pull it out.

Now, I’m not much of a College Basketball guy but it is fun to go to a game now and then. And I have to say this, in a city dominated by the expensive Georgetown’s Hoyas, the GW Colonials make for a fine and affordable night of roundball.

The team is pretty damn good most of the time, the popcorn is great and the ticket prices can’t be beat. Keep them in mind for next season.
